From my guide, these are the 5 main websites I always point people to when they’re starting their search:
1. BizBuySell.com
This is the big one. It has the largest volume of small businesses for sale across the U.S. This is where I personally spent a lot of time in the beginning.
2. FranchiseFlippers.com
Focused specifically on franchise resales. Great if you want something with systems already in place.
3. VisaFranchise.com
More curated. They focus on businesses that are structured to meet E-2 requirements. It’s paid, but it saves time if you’re serious.
4. BizQuest.com
Similar to BizBuySell. Another marketplace with a wide range of listings across industries.
5. FBXbrokers.com
Not the prettiest website, but it’s Florida-specific and has listings that BizBuySell does not! This is where we found the business we purchased.
These are all pulled directly from the The Canada to USA Blueprint!
When we started, I didn’t rely on just one. I had like 3 tabs open every night, just getting a feel for pricing, industries, and what felt realistic!
If you’re just getting started, don’t overthink it. Pick one or two of these and start browsing. You’re not buying yet. You’re just training your eye for what a “good” business actually looks like! 😊
