📍 Where to Find Businesses on Sale in the US for the E-2 Visa
So you’ve decided the E-2 Visa might be your ticket to living and working in the US… now comes the big question: Where do you actually find a business to buy?
Here are some great starting points:
1️⃣ Business-for-sale websites
– BizBuySell.com
– BizQuest.com
– BusinessBroker.net
– FBXBrokers.com (Florida only)
2️⃣ Local business brokers
They know the market, can pre-vet opportunities, and guide you through negotiations. Search “business broker + city/state” on Google or LinkedIn.
3️⃣ Franchises
Many franchises welcome E-2 investors and offer training + systems. Check FranchiseDirect.com or FranchiseGator.com.
4️⃣ Networking
Join local Chamber of Commerce groups or expat Facebook groups in your target city. Sometimes the best opportunities never get listed online.
5️⃣ Your own search
Drive through the area you want to live in. “For Sale” signs and word-of-mouth leads can be gold.
💡 Tip: Make sure the business you’re buying meets E-2 Visa requirements (substantial investment, operational, not passive).
